Since becoming a Scout, Brown has lived by Scouting’s principles, which has made a profound impact on his personal and professional achievements, such as his induction into the Hot Sauce Hall of Fame for his “Original” Louisiana Hot Sauce brand. His life is a testament to loyalty, service, and integrity, preparing generations of young Scouts for their futures. Brown’s leadership in community projects, mentorship of Scouts, including his Eagle Scout son, and unwavering support have inspired many.
Brown has been a steadfast advocate for Scouting. His dedication and financial support have been instrumental in fostering Scouting’s expansion and reinvigorating its mission to develop future leaders. As a benefactor and visionary, Brown’s influence remains strong as Scouting evolves, especially within the Evangeline Area Council, where he serves as an Executive Committee Member.
“For all of the good that I have gotten out of the Scouting program and fun that I have had and still enjoying… anything that I have done for the Scouting program has been my pleasure and I have no regrets at all,” says Si as he reflects on his service to Scouting.In honoring Brown’s journey, we celebrate his 80 years of service and his significant impact on Scouting in our nation. Brown’s legacy is a testament to the power of the Scout Oath and Law. His example serves as a guide to inspire for generations.
