CASE | Outdoor Programs for the 21st Century

CASE OVERVIEW | ANDREW JACKSON COUNCIL

Change is a part of life. It is often directly related to survival and can enrich one’s life in ways unexpected. When it comes to our children, we need to be sure that change is made for the better.

Hood Scout Reservation offers experiences that prepare children with the skills and more importantly, the competencies they will need to tackle changes in our world.

It’s 20+ miles of trails and rolling hills in Southwestern Mississippi and the ultimate place to learn powerful lessons in community, character-building, skill development, and healthy living in a meaningful, engaged, and participatory environment.

WITH YOUR HELP, NO CHILD WILL BE LEFT INSIDE

There are at-risk and low-income families in every one of the twenty-two counties we serve. For this reason, we have a policy that no child will be denied the opportunity to participate in the Scouting program due to financial concerns. We are working to provide Scouting to these underserved areas by building strong community partnerships and relationships in these communities.
